Top Questions colorado Voters are Asking

We know voters have questions. Here are clear, straightforward answers to the most common questions about the three Protect Kids ballot measures so you can make an informed decision this November.

Three Measures. One Mission: Protect Kids.

  • What are the three PKC ballot measures?

Three Measures. One Mission: Protect Kids.

🛡️ The Children Are Not For Sale Act

🏃‍♀️ The Protect Girls' Sports Act

👨‍👩‍👧 The Protect Kids From Irreversible Sex-Rejecting Surgeries Act

  • Why are these initiatives on the ballot?

Colorado voters should have a direct voice on issues affecting children, families, parental rights, girls' sports, and medical interventions for minors.

The initiatives qualified for the ballot after a statewide signature-gathering effort involving thousands of volunteers. These three citizen-led ballot initiatives were placed on the November 2026 ballot through a grassroots effort involving more than 3,300 volunteer petition circulators and over 500,000 signatures gathered across Colorado. Voters will have the opportunity to decide each measure at the ballot box.

  • What does the 'Children Are Not For Sale Act' do?

The Children Are Not For Sale Act increases penalties for individuals convicted of trafficking a child for sexual servitude and establishes life imprisonment without parole as the penalty for those convicted of purchasing or selling a child for sex.

  • Can victims of sexual trafficking be prosecuted under this law?

NO. Existing CRS 18-3-504 protects all victims of sex trafficking from this

    penalty.

*This initiative also carves out the Governor’s pardon

  • What does 'The Protect Girls' Sports Act' do?

This measure would simply require all school athletic teams to be designated as male , female, or co-ed according to biological sex.

  • How will the Protect Girls' Sports initiative be implemented?

Standard practice is producing original birth certificate or a cheek swab

*No, no one is performing “genital inspections.” That is ridiculous.

  • Does this also protect locker rooms & bathrooms?

Our measure is single-subject and protects athletic leagues. But locker rooms and bathrooms are implied. If a male is not participating on the female team, they will not be in the female locker room.

  • What does 'The Protect Kids From Irreversible Sex-Rejecting Surgeries Act' do?

This initiative would simply prohibit healthcare providers from performing irreversible sex-rejecting surgeries on minors under the age of 18 for the exlicit purpose of changing their bioligical sex.

  • What about sex-affirming procedures like circumcision?

This initiative does NOT include circumcisions, gynecomasita or prevent treatment of any injury. This simply says you cannot try to surgically turn a boy into a girl and vice versa.

  • Are these sex-rejecting surgeries really happening on children?

Yes, children are being surgically mutilated in attempts to change their sex in Colorado.

Do No Harm’s StopTheHarmDatabase.com ranks CO Children’s Hospital #10 on their ‘Dirty Dozen” of child mutilation. They found that 64 hospitals in Colorado openly mutilate children.
